She was the first female commander of the Snow Kingdom, unexpectedly crossing over to become a pretty-faced but useless girl? Not only was she looked down upon by her own younger brother, but she was also bullied by everyone at school. She, a dignified commander leading thousands of elite soldiers, how could she become a waste? No way, she had to rise up! First, she became a god in one battle, turning into the school overlord and knocking down all those who had bullied her before! Then, with her parents' arrangement, she boldly entered the entertainment industry. On the variety show, while others were all beautiful and full of talent, she stepped forward and said, "I'll perform a bare-handed brick-breaking for everyone!" At first, everyone thought it was ridiculous, but no one could resist the allure and fists of the female war goddess, and they all surrendered. She smiled dominantly, "In this other world, I, the commander, will conquer it all!"
“Elyse Storm! Dinner’s ready!”
“What are you hiding in your room for?”
Seriously?
Who the hell ruins someone’s morning like this?
Back in Snow Empire, she was the top general—nobody, not even the crown prince, would dare barge into her bedroom uninvited.
Did this guy have a death wish?
Still half-asleep, Elyse flung out her hand without even opening her eyes.
The smack echoed loud and clear. When she finally opened her eyes, she froze.
This… wasn’t her quarters.
The room was all pink and white, frilly lace dripping from every corner. Even the golden bear plush on the desk had a tiny lace blanket covering it.
Behind her, a teen boy around seventeen sat on the floor, staring blankly like he’d just been KO’d.
Hold up, where was she? What was she doing in this princess-style bedroom, sitting at a desk, holding—
“One Mom, Eighteen Babies: CEO Falls for Me”?
“What is wrong with you, Elyse? You stole my name when you were born, my toys when we were kids, and now you’re hitting me?!”
So noisy.
She tossed the ridiculous book aside. Still seated, she shot a glance at Miles Storm, her brother, and despite herself, there was a strange sense of command in her eyes.
That sharp, icy look made Miles instantly scoot back two steps. “What’s with that psycho stare? You trying to kill me or what?”
It’d been ten years since anyone had dared talk to her like that.
Her gaze sharpened. Just as she raised her hand again, ready to reassert her authority as the former supreme commander, a robotic voice cut through her thoughts.
[“Peak Conquest System Activated.”]
[“User: Elyse Storm, age 17.”]
[“Attributes: Nothing but 80 percent looks.”]
You gotta be kidding me. Only looks?
She was a tactical genius and combat expert, okay? During her leadership, Snow Empire literally doubled its territory.
“Nothing but looks”? This system was full of crap. Like it could make her do anything!
Wait. Why did her limbs feel so short? Powerless, even?
Miles, still pissed from being ignored, exploded again. “What the heck is with that killer stare?!”
Because she literally just wanted to strangle him, duh. Elyse was about to say something when another tremor hit her mind.
Buzz—
[“Congrats, you unlocked the Daily Mission: Loving Family.”]
[“New Task: Show Love to Your Brother.”]
[“Objective: Give him a warm hug.”]
[“Reward: +30 Charm.”]
Charm? What use was that? She needed strength to conquer anything!
["Strength requires unlocking via task completion. Daily missions come first."]
So charm’s the main questline?
“Elyse!” Miles was yelling again.
Elyse snapped back to the moment, massaging her delicate wrist. Hugging her brother sounded worse than punching him. The guy was as annoying as a summer pond toad.
[“Failure will incur parasite penalty.”]
What the hell?
She slowly stood, looked her furious brother in the eye. She was already fed up—waking up as someone useless, stuck in this sugar-overloaded room...
Perfect time to vent.
She lifted her hand again, aiming straight for Miles—
Buzz—
[“Warning! Parasite effect incoming.”]
Then it hit—like static shocks zipping across her skin and drilling inside her.
Damn it!
It hurt like hell!It felt like thousands of needles stabbing her all at once, over and over again. The pain made her curl up on the fluffy carpet, twisting around like crazy.
“Uh… Elyse, are you possessed or something?”
Miles had never seen anything like this before and totally freaked out.
“Hug? Fine! I’ll hug, okay?!”
The second she gave in, the stabbing stopped. Elyse slowly got up, still shaken, and looked at her now much taller little brother. Her eyes narrowed—and she pounced.
Bam! A full-on, no-holding-back bear hug.
“Damn! What’s your head made of, steel?!”
Miles winced, rubbing his chest where she’d slammed into him and shoved her away grumpily.
“I swear I’m telling Mom and Dad. No way they’ll take your side this time!”
【Mission complete. +30 Charm】
Elyse rolled her eyes. At last, peace and quiet. Her mind finally felt a bit clearer.
She’d been thrown into this random teenage girl’s body—okay, at least she was 17. Weak, sure, but with decent training? A girl this tall could absolutely start from scratch and build a killer instinct.
But seriously—
What did they mean by a “society ruled by law”? Like her Steno Empire wasn’t?
Unbelievable.
She was baffled. This country—Hua—was apparently the safest and most peaceful place in this world.
So… if being an assassin is off the table, then what?
Suddenly Miles stormed off, yanked the door open, and shouted with hands on hips, “Mom! Dad! She’s lost it!”
From what little she’d seen so far, this Miles was supposed to be her little brother, a so-called genius. All that talk about stealing names and toys? Totally made up by him.
Actually, this original Elyse had been emotionally tortured by her perfect little brother for years.
And the “Mom and Dad” he’d gone running to? Supposedly the model married couple. What a joke.
Problem was, this version of her? Just some dumb high schooler. Total downgrade.
Back in Steno, being smart didn’t mean much. Reading and writing existed solely for reading up on weapons manuals and military strategies. Killing was the norm.
Luckily, the original girl’s dad was a full-on military geek.
He’d signed both his kids up for officer academy entrance tests.
Now that was more like it.
Finally, something she could work with. War and strategy? Right up her alley.
Wait—how come Miles got accepted into military school so easily, and she flunked out?
Ugh—
Miles, all six-foot-one of him, with that perfect build and freakish discipline, had breezed through the entrance like it was nothing.
And her?
Elyse looked down at the trashy novel in her lap—“Eighteen Kids in One Shot”? It was like a bucket of cold water dumped over her head.
Reading this garbage and expecting to pass military school? Get real.
What’s worse, Hua only let you take the military entrance once. Just one shot. Blow it, and you're done. No do-overs.
So she’d basically just watched her military dreams go up in smoke.
Realizing that, she snarled, picked up Eighteen Kids, and hurled it into the trash can with a giant thud.
Right at that second, her parents rushed in, obviously alarmed. Seeing her face twisted in stress and anger, Grace hurried over and pulled her into a hug.
“Yaya, it’s okay, don’t panic. Failing the exam doesn’t mean the end of the world, right?”
Henry chimed in too. “Yeah, look at you—are you burning up again?”
Grace reached out, felt her forehead, then finally sighed in relief.
“A girl your age shouldn’t be stressing over violent stuff like this, let alone trying those insane bootcamp tests. You had a fever, now you’re acting all weird!”
